About Us

My name is David and I run and own David Button Independent Funeral Directors, a small, family run business with a friendly, relaxed and calming atmosphere. This, I believe, makes the funeral home very unique. Situated in Walton on the outskirts of Felixstowe, with free on street parking all around and the added benefit of being on a main bus route, David Button Independent Funeral Directors is easy and convenient to find for everyone.

I started working in the funeral industry for a large corporate company. Having started at the bottom as a casual part time bearer I had the opportunity to progress as a funeral arranger and then onto the role of Funeral Director. I strongly believe starting at the bottom has put me in good stead as the years have passed by. Starting up my own funeral home was once only a dream and to have made that big step is the result of hard work and many hours learning my trade.

Myself and my staff pride themselves on our customer service and flexibility to allow the family the funeral service they wish for their loved one. We have qualified staff who have sat and passed their funeral exams resulting in obtaining the funeral diploma. We will help and advise you throughout the funeral arrangements and will only give an opinion when asked. Simply put, we always treat others how we would be expect to be treated ourselves. We can honestly say we treat all those people who have passed away and come into our care as if they were a member of our own family.

Our funeral services extend to Felixstowe and the surrounding areas, such as Walton, Trimley St Mary, Trimley St Martin, Levington, Stowmarket, Needham Market, Claydon, Kirton, Bucklesham, Woodbridge, Shotley, Harwich as well as nationally.
